Vacations are awesome, and there’s no better time of year to take one than during summer! Take a look at some of our favorite homes from vacation destinations across the globe.

As they said in that iconic wizard movie not named Harry Potter, “There’s no place like home” – except of course for those few glorious days when you call another town or country home while on vacation.

There’s something unspeakably moving about traveling to a new place and letting the foreign sights, sounds and smells soak into your bones. Laughing with strangers as you try to communicate clumsily, trying new foods, walking through historic neighborhoods and getting lost – these are the things I love most about travel…it invigorates the soul and makes you better appreciate how spectacular your own home is.

As you can tell, I think vacations are awesome, and there’s no better time of year to take one than during summer! As we continue our Summer Fridays series, let’s take a look at some homes in fantastic global vacation destinations.

$3,450,000 – San Diego, CA

I’m not going out on a limb by saying San Diego is one of the most beautiful places on earth. This home serves up the best of San Diego on a silver platter with panoramic views of the ocean from every room.

$1,025,000 – Placencia, Belize

Unobstructed waterfront sunsets, rolling mountains, pink skies and a serene lagoon are just some of what make this premier home in the Central American country of Belize so awesome…it’s like living on your own little (and fantastic) island.

$33,119,957 – Saint Tropez

If Saint Tropez is good enough for Jay Z and Beyonce, who am I to argue? One look at this exclusive villa overlooking the Gulf of St. Tropez and you’ll fall “crazy in love”.

$3,740,594 – London

This luxury apartment is located on the 31st floor of one of the tallest residential buildings in all of Europe, which means you’re treated to these stunning views of one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.

$102,786,074 – Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France

This is paradise. Featuring exotic gardens leading down to sea and astonishing views of the Mediterranean Sea and Monaco, I couldn’t imagine a more picturesque place to visit. I would not be mad if I were made to vacation here permanently…forever.
